プロテストソングは普遍的なテーマでもありますが時代の影響を受けますね。ロックであれば、やはりその登場時に並行して行われていたベトナム戦争抜きには語れないと思います。その時代が終わった自分達の世代にとってのプロテストソングはギリベトナム戦争反戦歌とも言えるスプリングスティーンのBorn in the USAと当時の大人たちの世界観を押し付けらる学校生活に対する抵抗を歌った尾崎豊であるように思います。今の感覚だと、これらがプロテストソング?って思われるかもしれませんが、自分はそう感じていました。
